Infrared Carbon Heater Lamp: The Heat You Need, Where You Need It
Picture this: you need intense, focused heat, and you need it fast. That’s exactly what an infrared carbon heater lamp was born to do. It’s a workhorse, built from the ground up for industrial jobs that demand serious power in a tight space. Think PET blowing, plastic welding, or drying components that just won’t quit.
The Power Behind the Heat
Here’s the thing about this lamp: it’s all about packing a punch. We’re talking 2500W of power running at 400V, all focused through a 300mm tube. That combo means you get a huge burst of heat right where you want it. The 400V rating? That was a deliberate choice. It’s designed to plug straight into your industrial line without needing extra transformers, so it just gets to work. And the 300mm length? It concentrates all that thermal energy, perfect for heating a small, specific area in a flash.
What Makes It Tick
Inside, you’ve got a carbon filament tucked inside a quartz envelope, all surrounded by halogen gas. That gas is the secret sauce. It runs a halogen cycle that keeps the filament stable and fights off the blackening that can kill other lamps. The result? A longer life. We also added a reflective coating on the quartz. It pushes more of that infrared energy forward, straight onto your target. Less wasted heat. More usable heat. And for the connection, it uses an R7s straight-pin base. It’s a simple, drop-in replacement for existing fixtures. It handles the high current and gives you a connection that stays solid, even with all the vibration of the shop floor.
What It Feels Like on the Job
When this thing fires up, you feel the difference. The heat-up is fast, and the temperature stays rock solid. Take PET blowing, for example. That concentrated IR output softens the parison almost instantly. That helps you keep your cycle time right where it needs to be. Now, that 2500W power is a beast, and it does put demands on your equipment. You need to make sure your machine’s cooling system is up to the task of handling the extra heat. We built this lamp to handle the grind of the shop floor, but it really shines when the surrounding setup is ready for the output.
