It runs on shortwave infrared, which means it fires up fast and puts the heat right where you need it. The carbon fiber element packs serious power into a compact tube, and the shape delivers even coverage across a narrow zone. It’s a small footprint. The response is immediate. Built to take the heat
Inside, the carbon fiber filament sits in a quartz envelope—chosen because it handles rapid temperature swings and keeps output steady, even when you cycle on and off. We run high voltage to keep the current low for the same wattage. That means smaller conductors and simpler wiring. Plus, the R7s double-ended connector drops right into many existing fixtures, so changeover on the shop floor is quick.
Where it shines
Use this lamp when you need intense, localized heating: PET blowing, curing coatings, plastic welding, and activating adhesives. The shortwave profile focuses energy on the target, so you can push line speeds faster without cooking the surrounding frame. Now, with that kind of power density, you do need proper cooling and clear guarding. Keep airflow and clearance as designed, and you’ll get repeatable heat—without hot spots.
