Instead of one filament, we pack two parallel carbon filaments into a single quartz tube. It’s a simple tweak, but it basically doubles the heat you’re pumping out without taking up any extra space in your machine. Getting the power right We don’t believe in one-size-fits-all here. We tune these lamps to match your specific voltage and wattage so they play nice with your power supply. By bumping up the voltage, we can push more power through those filaments without having to make the tube bulkier. The result? Your target gets hot, and it happens fast. Just a heads-up: since these pull a lot of power, make sure your wiring and contactors can handle the peak current. You really don’t want to deal with burnt-out terminals in the middle of a shift. The nuts and bolts We use carbon because it hits that medium-wave spectrum. If you’re working with plastics or coatings, this is the sweet spot—the material actually absorbs the heat rather than just letting it bounce off. And the glass? It’s quartz. We use it because it doesn’t freak out when you cycle the heat on and off rapidly. As for the fit, we usually go with R7s or Sk15 connectors. They just slide right into most industrial sockets. No fuss. Plus, they hold tight, which means you won’t have to worry about annoying electrical arcing when your machinery starts vibrating. Real-world use (and a few warnings) You’ll mostly see these humming along in shrink tunnels or PET blowing ovens. Having two tubes means the heat spreads more evenly across the preform, so you don’t end up with weird hot spots. But here’s the thing: these things getintense. Keep them away from your sensitive sensors, or you’ll be replacing those real quick. And please, keep an eye on your cooling fans. If the airflow dies, that quartz envelope can overheat and crack. It’s all about finding that balance between raw power and a steady breeze to keep everything stable.
