It runs on a standard 220V supply and pulls 1000W. The math here is simple: we balanced the power against the length so you get a steady, even blast of heat across the whole 660mm span. No annoying cold spots to worry about. Why carbon? Most lamps use old-school metal coils, but we went with carbon fiber filaments. The difference is huge. It ramps up almost instantly. You flip the switch, and the heat is just there. We wrapped the element in a clear quartz tube, too. It doesn’t soak up the energy; it just lets the shortwave radiation fly straight through and hit your workpiece. It’s efficient. The build quality Carbon handles the heat better than nichrome. It’s tougher. You can crank it up and down quickly without worrying about the element snapping under the pressure. One quick tip: it plays nice with most industrial controllers, butcheck your sockets. Make sure they can actually handle 1000W. If they can’t, you’re just going to melt your housing, and nobody wants that. Real-world use (and a few warnings) This is a great fit if you’re doing PET blowing, curing paint, or welding plastics. It gets deep into the material fast. But here’s the thing—it’s a long tube. If your machine frame is a bit shaky, the vibration can kill the lamp over time. Make sure the ends are secured tight. And since 1000W is a lot of energy, the surrounding chassis is going to get hot. Really hot. Don’t forget to spec some decent cooling fans, or you’ll end up frying your nearby wiring.
