A Real-Talk Guide to Our 2000W Carbon Fiber Heating Lamps
We built these lamps for one reason: industrial printers are demanding. If you’re trying to hit high temperatures quickly, standard quartz heaters usually just can’t keep up. That’s why we went with a carbon fiber filament tucked inside a quartz envelope. It pumps out short-wave infrared (IR) radiation that gets straight to work. The power side of things Running at 240V and 2000W means you’re getting a massive amount of heat in a very small space. The best part? It’s fast. Really fast. Because carbon fiber doesn’t hold onto heat the way metal coils do, it snaps to temperature almost instantly and cools down just as quickly. No more sitting around waiting for your printer bed or curing station to warm up. You just turn it on and go. Why carbon fiber actually matters Here is the secret: carbon fiber can take a beating. It handles extreme heat way better than tungsten, so you aren’t replacing bulbs every few weeks. We also use high-purity quartz glass. We did this so the IR waves slide right through the tube instead of getting trapped. More energy hits your material, and less of it just wastes away heating up the air in your shop. A few things to watch out for Before you plug these in, do a quick check on your power supply. Each lamp draws about 8.33A. If you’re installing a whole row of them, make sure your wiring and relays can handle the total load. You don’t want a voltage drop killing your efficiency. And a word of caution: 2000W is a lot of heat for a small area. If your printer’s frame isn’t vented or shielded, you might start warping your plastic parts. It’s an intense heat. Just make sure you’ve got a solid cooling plan for your electronics so nothing melts. If your connectors match the terminal spec, these should slide right into your current setup without any fuss.
