The Power Side of Things Since it’s rated for 220V, you can plug it straight into most industrial grids. No need to mess around with bulky transformers or extra gear. It just works. But here is a pro tip:**don’t let the tube sag.**At this length, if the quartz envelope dips, you’ll end up with uneven heat or, worse, a cracked tube from thermal expansion. Keep it secure, and it’ll behave. Why Carbon Fiber? We moved away from the usual tungsten or nichrome wires and went with carbon fiber instead. Why?
